THE MATTRESS
What makes the Organique mattress unique?
The Organique mattress is constructed from certified organic latex, certified organic wool, and certified organic cotton. Our materials carry the highest levels of certification, including:
• USDA Certified Organic
• GreenGuard Gold Certified
• GOLs Certified
• GOTs Certified
• OEKO-TEX 100 Certified
The Organique mattress contains absolutely no traces of toxins like polyurethane, a component commonly found in most mattresses containing memory foam.
How does the mattress feel?
The core of the Organique mattress is certified organic latex foam. Latex foam layers can be soft, firm, or combined to create a comfort level in between. Organique offers 3 standard configurations – Soft, Medium and Firm, to suit your particular preferences or needs.
Our certified organic latex layers allow your Organique mattress to be as plush, well balanced, or firm as any other mattress on the market.
What kind of bed or box spring do I need?
The ideal surface for an Organique mattress is flat, rigid and breathable. So a slatted platform bed base or foundation with a flat, rigid and breathable surface is the optimal solution. Slats should be no more than 3 inches apart and cannot be flexible.
Avoid slatted beds with flexible or bowed slats and box springs that do not provide a firm, flat surface, as they interfere with the contouring support and durability of our mattresses. A surface like this will void our warranty.
You can purchase custom Organique platform foundations here. Our foundation replaces the box spring in a standard bedstead or frame.
Why isn’t Organique sold in my local mattress store?
Each Organique mattress is made to order. Our top priority is making the highest quality mattress possible from certified organic materials. That’s why we don’t invest in glitzy showrooms, commissioned salespeople, or overstocked inventories. Because of this, we’re able to pass the savings down to you!
How does the satisfaction guarantee work?
You have 90 nights to sleep on your Organique mattress to decide if the firmness is right for you. If you decide within that period that you’d prefer softer or firmer than your original choice, we will replace the appropriate latex layers. There is no charge to you for the latex. You are only charged for shipping to receive a new layer and return the old. Shipping costs vary based on size.
The latex exchange policy is not a return policy. By law, we cannot accept and resell returned mattresses. To order a latex exchange, contact us to let us know, and provide your original order number. Indicate the size layer and type of latex you need, and confirm which layer(s) you will return.
If you are unsure which new latex to order, just ask us to advise you on recommendations to adjust the comfort.
For the pillow and other products, the process is a little different. If you aren't loving it, you can return it to us within 30 days. Once we receive it at our facility, we’ll refund you in full.
Is there a warranty?
Yes, our mattresses are backed by an industry-leading 20-year limited warranty.
Don't I need to try a mattress before buying it?
No. We're confident that you will be sleeping soundly after finalizing your Organique mattress configuration.
We also want you to have peace of mind when you purchase your Organique mattress. That’s why we offer a 90 night trial period. At any point within the 90 days of your purchase of an Organique mattress, you may reach out to us to exchange layers to increase or decrease firmness. No questions asked.
Our mattresses are also backed by an industry-leading 20-year warranty.
So, if you are committed to improving the quality of your sleep and removing toxic chemicals from your sleeping environment, one of our soft, medium or firm mattress options will provide you with a healthy and incredibly sound night’s sleep.
Why just one model and three firmness levels?
Rather than confuse you with dozens (or even hundreds!) of choices, we put all our energy into building one perfect mattress with three levels of firmness.
Our mattress offers three options for you to achieve a personalized level of comfort. Through our extensive research and testing, we are confident that at least one of our three configurations -- soft, medium, firm -- will appeal to your sleeping needs.
Feel free to call us for advice. And you’re not trapped if you change your mind -- you can take three months to decide if you’d like to change the firmness or your mattress.
What if I change my mind about the firmness level once I sleep on my mattress?
No problem. You have a full 90 days after your mattress is delivered to be sure you’re happy with the firmness you chose. If you’d like to alter the firmness, simply contact us to order a Latex Exchange. The new latex layers are free, and you pay only for shipping. Even years later, if you decide you’d like a softer or firmer layer, you can always purchase a new one.
Does the mattress smell?
Because the Organique mattress is comprised of certified organic materials like latex foam, cotton and wool, no strong odors will result after the unboxing period.
What’s the Organique mattress made of?
Each Organique mattress is made to order in the USA by expert craftsmen and is customizable per your sleeping preferences. The Organique mattress is constructed of certified organic latex, certified organic wool, and certified organic cotton.
Our materials carry the highest levels of certification, including:
• USDA Certified Organic
• GreenGuard Gold Certified
• GOLs Certified
• GOTs Certified
• OEKO-TEX 100 Certified
What if I have back pain or other problems?
Depending on your specific back condition, a firm or medium mattress will likely be the right choice. Most people with back pain prefer a firm mattress. We would advise you to consult with your health care provider to confirm the right firmness option.
How is organic latex different from other kinds of foam?
The primary difference between organic latex and synthetic foams, including memory foam, is that true organic latex foam is 95%+ pure organic rubber, derived from the sap, or serum, of the rubber tree. It contains no chemical flame retardants and minimal additives (only what is necessary to process rubber serum into foam). Organic latex is comfortable, responsive, durable, and more breathable than any synthetic foam.
What is the difference between an organic mattress and a conventional mattress?
The Organique mattress is derived from natural, certified organic materials. Conventional mattresses are made primarily of man-made materials derived from nonrenewable resources such as natural gas and petrochemicals, which are harmful to your health.
How does the Organique mattress compare to a memory foam bed?
Memory foam does provide support and contouring, however synthetic memory foam has disadvantages including heat retention and toxicity. Organique uses certified organic Dunlop latex, which is cool, breathable, and ensures you are supported without sinking too deeply into the mattress.
Will the Organique mattress form any valleys or dips after time?
Our mattress won’t sink, or form a valley. We also offer an industry leading 20-year warranty so you can be just as confident as we are that you’re getting a great bed that will hold up over time.
Does the Organique mattress sleep hot?
Heat retention is one of the main aspects that we focused on with the construction of the Organique mattress. Latex is much more breathable than memory foam, thus allowing you to sleep cooler than a memory foam mattress.
Are there any chemical fire retardants in the Organique mattress?
Certified organic wool is used as a natural fire retardant. There are absolutely no chemical fire retardants in our mattresses, and no traces of polyurethane.

Can I use a heating pad with my Organique mattress?
Yes.
Can I use a box spring?
The ideal surface for an Organique mattress is flat, rigid and breathable. So a slatted bed base or foundation with a flat, rigid and breathable surface is the optimal solution. Slats should be no more than 3 inches apart and cannot be flexible.

Requests received after 12pm PST may be answered the following business day.
Requests received after 12pm PST Fridays are reviewed for approval Monday and, if approved, the order ships on Tuesday. Rush Processing is not “Expedited Shipping”; ground transit times do not change.
